🌍 Internship Spotlight: An Adventure at SOMFY Niepołomice! 
Let’s meet Guillaume👨🦱, who comes from France!
🎤 How has your adventure at SOMFY NIEPOŁOMICE started?
👦Like many French engineering students, I needed to complete an internship abroad. SOMFY is a well-known name in my home region around Annecy, so it was always on my mind. Thanks to Łukasz Ferek, the R&D manager at SOPEM, I reached out and began my journey in Niepołomice!
🎤 What does your daily routine look like and what are your responsibilities?
👦I start my day at 7:30 AM with a quick check on the parts printed overnight. Then, breakfast and coffee with the team, ☕where we catch up and share ideas! The rest of the day consists of meetings, CAD prototyping, and operating 3D printers, while also exploring process improvements.
🎤 What do you like most about SOMFY NIEPOłOMICE?
👦Definitely the PEOPLE! There’s a fantastic team spirit—everyone is open, helpful, and eager to share their knowledge, making it a friendly and dynamic work environment. 🤝
🎤 What would you advise others who would like to apply for an internship at SOMFY NIEPOłOMICE?
👦 Be curious, open-minded, and don’t hesitate to step outside your comfort zone. Learning a few Polish words helps too; people really appreciate the effort! 💡
🎤 How do you spend your free time after work in Poland?
👦I love sports, so I often go running along the river or hit the gym after work. 🏃♂️ I’m also trying to explore as much as possible—Kraków is a beautiful city filled with history and great places to visit. And of course, I’ve been discovering pierogis, zapiekanka, and the Polish way of life! 🍽️
🎤 Is there anything else you’d like to add?
👦This experience has been a great mix of professional challenge, personal growth, and cultural discovery. I’m really grateful to the R&D team here for their warm welcome—even if my Polish still has a long way to go! 🌟
